Weyerhaeuser - Ingram Yard

Summary Information
(last updated on: 12/4/2018 1:01:11 PM)
The Ingram Yard property was used for land disposal of dredge spoils from Coos Bay, and boier ash and sludges from the former Weyerhaeuser Containerboard Mill (ECSI 1083) located about 1 mile east of the Ingram Yard site. These materials were placed on the yard over the period from the late 1970s until about 1994. The dredge spoils, ash and sludge contained residual levels of semivolatile organics, metals, petroleum hydrocarbons and PCBs. DEQ issued a No Further Action determination for this site on 9/15/2006. Although surface soils at the site meet DEQ screening criteria, they contain low levels of potentially bioaccumulating chemicals and must not be placed in waters of the state, and contaminated soil containing residual contamination must be managed and/or disposed if in accordance with DEQ rules. DEQ's Cleanup Program continues to provide technical assistance to the Jordan Cove Energy Project as needed.
