General NPDES and WPCF Permit Documents

Oregon DEQ develops general permits to regulate a variety of activities known to affect water quality. Individuals and entities can ensure that they're in compliance with state and federal regulations by following the terms and conditions of applicable permits.

In most cases, an individual or entity seeking coverage under a particular general permit must register and submit an application and fee to DEQ. Once DEQ receives and approves an application, it will send the registrant a signed copy of the permit.

In a few cases, such as the 700-PM, 2300-A and 1200-CN, the general permit will identify an activity that does not require an application. If this is the case, the individual or entity need only download a copy of the permit and adhere to the terms listed in order to satisfy the terms of the permit.
