Grants and Funding for Drinking Water Protection  

Federal and state grants as well as low-interest loans are available to eligible entities to conduct water quality improvement projects. Each grant and loan has its own application requirements and time schedule. Resources for Oregon communities to protect drinking water include:

• Drinking Water State Revolving Fund
  Loans available to qualifying public water systems to assist with implementing source water protection strategies.
• Clean Water Act Section 319 Grants
  Federal grant funds under the Clean Water Act’s Section 319(h) to address nonpoint sources of pollution affecting coastal, river, lake, drinking water and groundwater resources in Oregon.
