Background

The Toxics Stakeholder Group originated from a directive from the Environmental Quality Commission to pursue rule revisions that will set new water quality standards for toxic pollutants in Oregon. For more information, refer to the web page on Water Quality Standards for Toxic Pollutants.  The focus of the group has recently expanded to support DEQ in the development of a comprehensive strategy to reduce water, land and air toxics in Oregon.
