Invasive Species
HB 2213 Makes DEQ a member of the Oregon Invasive Species Council. Passed
HB 2625 Clarifies DEQ authority to board vessels for purposes of compliance and enforcement in the state's ballast water program. Passed
HB 2714 Authorizes the Environmental Quality Commission to set further standards for the discharge of ballast water and to continue as a stakeholder taskforce to assist DEQ in policy development. Passed
     
Air Quality
HB 2952 Lessens some of the technical requirements for air quality permitting of small scale renewable energy facilities unless air quality standards are threatened. Passed
HB 2671 Allows Metro Regional Government to use solid waste fees to retrofit garbage trucks. Passed
SB 103 Provides small businesses with an alternative to an air quality permit if they meet high environmental standards through a certification program. Passed
SB 528 Bans most field burning in the Willamette Valley by 2010.
