Budget and Legislation

Every two years, DEQ prepares its biennial budget and legislative proposals for consideration by the Oregon State Legislature. The Legislature typically meets every other odd-numbered year to balance the current biennium’s budget and set the budget for the next two years, and to discuss and debate legislative proposals from a host of sources, including state agencies like DEQ.
