For release: April 24, 2012 Contacts: Groundwater Protection Committee to meet Tuesday, May 1 The steering committee, composed of residents of South Deschutes and North Klamath counties, is charged with identifying cost-effective solutions to protect area groundwater. What: The South Deschutes and North Klamath County Groundwater Protection Project Steering Committee will meet to discuss topics including: · Work Session Debrief - Evaluating risk ranking criteria. Where to consider sewers and cluster systems. Revisit preliminary general boundary. · Governance Options · Planning and Outreach The committee plans to meet monthly for the next year on the first Tuesday of each month. Exact meeting times may vary so people should check DEQ's website for updated times and locations.
