Mid Coast Basin Advisory Committee Meeting April 18 in Newport

What:             A diverse group of local stakeholders whose mission will be to help DEQ identify actions to protect and restore the waters of the Mid Coast Basin will host their second meeting on Wednesday, April 18 in Newport, Ore. The committee will assist DEQ in developing a comprehensive water quality plan that captures the scope of water quality problems facing the rivers and streams in the basin. The basin plan will identify “implementation ready” solutions for improving conditions where water quality standards are not being met.

 

                        The meeting is open to the public and time has been set aside at the end of the meeting for the public to address the committee and DEQ.

 

When:             9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 18
