For release: April 13, 2012 Contacts: Groundwater Protection Committee to meet Wednesday, April 18 The steering committee, composed of residents of South Deschutes and North Klamath counties, is charged with identifying cost-effective solutions to protect area groundwater. What: The South Deschutes and North Klamath County Groundwater Protection Project Steering Committee will have a work session meeting to discuss topics including: · Review of groundwater sampling and well depth data by neighborhood · Evaluating risk ranking criteria · Discussion on types of governance The committee plans to meet monthly for the next year on the first Tuesday of each month. The committee is also having work sessions as needed. Exact meeting times may vary so people should check DEQ's website for updated times and locations.
