For release: May 17, 2011 Contacts: Groundwater Protection Committee to meet June 15 in La Pine The steering committee, composed of residents of South Deschutes and North Klamath counties, is charged with identifying cost-effective solutions to protect area groundwater. What: The South Deschutes and North Klamath County Groundwater Protection Project Steering Committee will meet to discuss topics including: · Presentation by Jason Churchill, Orenco Systems Web site: www.orenco.com/corporate/regulatory/ · Updates by the following subcommittees: o Options o Domestic well sampling o Spray field well data o Communications and outreach The committee plans to meet monthly for the next year.
