The Air Quality Division, of DEQ has an immediate
opening for a full time, limited duration (through June 30, 2011) with the
likelihood of continuing beyond this date and becoming a regular appointment
pending budget approval. The position is located in Portland, Oregon.
The Air Quality Division is comprised of four sections: Air Quality Planning,
Program Operations, Technical Services, and Vehicle Inspection. These sections,
in coordination with the Regions and Laboratory, are responsible for developing
and overseeing the implementation of air quality programs such as the vehicle
inspection, business assistance, pollution tax credits, and EPA reporting.
Employee is required to maintain a drug/alcohol free workplace in accordance with the 1988 Drug Free Workplace Act and Department Policy.

You must answer the following test question. Use a separate piece of paper. Limit your answer to no more than one (1) page. Describe work experience (paid or unpaid) and training that you have that is related to each question. Be sure that the jobs where you gained experience are listed in the Work History action of your PD100 application. Your grade will be based upon your answers.
This position involves the extensive use of a personal computer in an office setting. Must be able to occasionally work evenings/weekends/holidays in response to emergencies such as system malfunctions or to accomplish tasks which cannot be scheduled during normal working hours.
