Material Recovery and Recycling

In a typical year, recycling in Oregon reduces greenhouse gas emissions by an amount equivalent to the tailpipe emissions from 500,000 700,000 cars.

In Oregon, cities with a population over 4,000 must offer monthly curbside recycling, according to ORS 459A.
