DEQ convened a diverse group of stakeholders to inform the development of the 2050 Vision and contribute to the development of a framework for action to move forward.

  • Who participated in the 2050 Vision Workgroup? 25 stakeholders representing DEQ's long term partners in the solid waste industry, other government agencies, and representatives of several leading Pacific Northwest business.

  • What information did they rely on? DEQ developed a series of technical papers about sustainable production, consumption, and end-of-life/recovery.<
  • What happened at the workgroup meetings? The workgroup met for five work sessions between October 2011 and May 2012.
