Material Management Grants Program

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s Materials Management program is resuming its grant program to fund projects that prevent, recover or reuse solid and household hazardous wastes. Up to $500,000 for this 2015 grant round is available to local governments in Oregon in the following three categories.

  1. Materials Management Project Grants - for a wide range of projects that propose to prevent, reuse or recover solid or household hazardous wastes.
  2. Household Hazardous Waste Facility Grants - for construction of HHW facilities to allow proper and safe storage/handling of hazardous materials.
  3. HHW/Solid Waste/Materials Management Planning Grants - for conducting a new or updated HHW, solid waste or materials management plan for local government.
