Identification Numbers, Reporting and Fees for Hazardous Waste Generators, Toxics Use Reporters, Universal Waste Handlers, and Used Oil Handlers

Hazardous Waste Generators

Every year hazardous waste generators are required to fill out forms describing their activities during the previous year. The forms must then be submitted to the Oregon DEQ.

Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities

Hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities are facilities that, because of their specific activities, are required to have a hazardous waste permit for operation. TSDFs permits are complex and stringent. They are primarily issued to facilities specializing in commercial hazardous waste management services.

Toxics Use and Hazardous Waste Reduction Reporters

Universal waste large quantity handlers, off-site collection sites, destination facilities, and pesticide collection programs

Universal Waste off-site collection sites, destination facilities and pesticide collection programs are required to submit a report of their universal waste activity annually on forms provided by the Department. There are no fees for facilities managing universal waste.

Used Oil Handlers

Used oil processors are facilities that produce fuel oils, lubricants, or other used oil derived products from used oil. Used oil processors are required annually to submit completed reporting forms in March for the previous calendar year. They do not pay fees to DEQ for their used oil activities.
