RulemakingManufacturer Registration FeesOn June 21, 2012, the Environmental Quality Commission adopted rules revising the registration fees that electronics manufacturers pay to cover DEQ’s costs for administering Oregon’s electronics recycling program, Oregon E-Cycles. DEQ initiated this rulemaking process in November 2011 and formed an advisory committee to help evaluate options for revising the registration fees so that fees cover DEQ’s costs for administering Oregon E-Cycles. The advisory committee met three times between November 2011 and March 2012; agendas and other materials from those meetings are provided below. DEQ published proposed rules revising registration fees for public comment between March 30 and April 27, 2012, before recommending the registration fee rules the Environmental Quality Commission adopted in June.
