Site Summary

Johnson Lake is an 18-acre lake located just west of I-205, north of NE Columbia Blvd, and south of the Columbia Slough. Sediment sampling has indicated the presence of PCBs, metals, petroleum, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the lake. PCBs have also been detected in the tissue of fish collected from the lake. Owens Brockway, who owns the property along the southern edge of the lake has completed an investigation and feasibility study to lay the foundation for selecting a remedy to address the sediment contamination.
