Site Summary

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is proposing to establish a framework for watershed-based assessments of mining districts throughout the state.  This framework would improve DEQ's ability to evaluate the significance of specific abandoned mine lands (AMLs) within drainages containing a number of AMLs.  It will also enable DEQ to improve its overall decision-making within watersheds comprising such drainages.  [more]
