Labor Day Closures

All Oregon Department of Environmental Quality offices, including vehicle emission test stations, are closed for the 3-day holiday weekend; Saturday, Sept. 3 through Monday, Sept. 5 in observance of Labor Day.

The Scappoose station will be open Thursday, Sept. 1 and Friday, Sept. 2.

All offices and stations will resume their normal operation hours after Labor Day.

 

Traffic Alert

Clackamas Clean Air Station: Visitors to this VIP station will experience delays through 2016 due to major highway construction nearby.

  • Road closures and detours affect access to 82nd Drive.
  • Watch for signage and expect delays. Area construction will continue throughout 2016. Check for additional information and updates at ODOT website.


Hours of operation

Clackamas, Gresham, Northeast Portland, Sherwood and Sunset locations:

Tues, Thurs, Fri: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Wed: 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Sat: 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Closed Sunday, Monday and holidays.

Tuesdays and Saturdays are generally the busiest day of the week.
Lines are often shorter on Thursdays, Fridays and mid-month.

Scappoose location:

Fri: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sat: 8:30 a.m.- 1 p.m.
Closed Sunday - Thursday and holidays.

Fees

  • $21 will be charged once your vehicle passes the inspection

No charge if your vehicle fails.
Cash, PIN-less Debit/Credit card (VISA, MasterCard or Discover) or money order accepted.

  • Please leave your pets at home
  • No smoking on State of Oregon property
  • Please turn off cell phones in the testing lane
  • Smoking vehicles will not be tested
  • Make sure your vehicle is in good working condition. Vehicles that pose a safety hazard will not be tested.
  • Trailers, towed vehicles or other mobile equipment must be disconnected from the vehicle prior to testing.
