Current News

DEQ held stakeholder meetings in Portland, Pendleton, Eugene, and Medford during the month of August to discuss potential air quality rule revisions prior to releasing the proposed rules for public comment. The potential revisions include:

  • Changes to particulate matter and opacity standards
  • Changes to the New Source Review program
  • Changes to make air quality rules clearer
  • Changes to the definition of categorically insignificant activities
