Asbestos for Building Owner/Operator/Landlord

Building owners/operators and landlords must comply with all of DEQ’s asbestos program requirements. There are some exceptions in the asbestos program made for homeowners, but those only apply if the structure is the primary residence of the owner. Landlords and homeowners who primary residence is elsewhere cannot take advantage of these exceptions. Please contact DEQ if you have more specific questions.
