The Deschutes Basin

Many rivers, streams and lakes in the Deschutes Basin do not meet Oregon water quality standards and have been identified as impaired on the state’s 303(d) list. DEQ is currently developing TMDLs for the rivers and streams in the Upper Deschutes and Little Deschutes subbasins.

TMDLs in the other subbasins will be developed at a later date. Refer to the links below for more specific information about TMDL progress in each of the different subbasins. This page will be updated as information becomes available regarding these subbasins.
